The high-top upper made of durable synthetic PU with a water-repellent finish protects the ankle and keeps light moisture out. A front stone guard enhances protection against impacts and stone chips. The corrosion-resistant metal hooks and eyelets ensure firm and durable lacing, even in wet conditions.
The EVA midsole cushions shock and reduces joint fatigue, while the deep-lugged rubber outsole provides reliable traction on rocks, mud, or wet grass. Good usage practices
- 3-layer system (textile) :
Base layer = wicking (breathable),
Mid-layer = insulate (fleece/down/synthetic),
Shell = protect (waterproof/windproof).
Adjust openings and zippers to avoid overheating.
- Lacing & support (shoes) : lock the heel when descending, adjust the tightening to the slope; use marked crampons on soft ground, softer rubber on wet rock.
- Maintenance : Refresh the DWR as needed (gentle heat), dry completely after use (textiles/shoes/soles), regularly re-waterproof non-membrane uppers.
